Dạng Bar chart (biểu đồ cột) là một trong những dạng hay gặp nhất của IELTS Writing Task 1. Trang này gồm cách nhận biết, dàn bài, lỗi hay gặp - và danh sách đề để bạn luyện ngay: bấm vào đề bất kỳ để viết và được chấm band, lỗi sai đánh dấu ngay trong bài.

Nhận biết dạng đề

Biểu đồ cột so sánh các hạng mục, có thể qua một hoặc nhiều mốc thời gian.

Dàn bài 4 đoạn

1. Mở bài: Paraphrase đề: biểu đồ thể hiện gì, ở đâu, khi nào.
2. Overview: Hạng mục cao nhất/thấp nhất và xu hướng chung, không số liệu.
3. Thân bài 1: Nhóm các cột lớn hoặc các hạng mục tăng, kèm số liệu.
4. Thân bài 2: Nhóm còn lại, so sánh với nhóm ở đoạn trước.

Mẹo để lên band

• Đừng mô tả từng cột một. Nhóm các hạng mục có đặc điểm giống nhau.
• So sánh là chìa khoá: twice as high as, slightly lower than, the highest figure.
