Câu hỏi: Do you think children should start learning a foreign language at primary school?

Yes, on the whole I do. Young children pick up pronunciation quite naturally, and they are less worried about making mistakes, which matters a lot when you are learning to speak. That said, it depends on the teaching. If lessons are just about memorising grammar rules, an early start probably won't help much. In my own primary school we mainly sang songs and played games in English, and I think that gave me confidence later on.

Cách luyện danh sách này

1. Chọn một đề mỗi ngày: Đọc 5 câu hỏi Part 3 của một đề. Đừng viết sẵn câu trả lời; chỉ ghi 2–3 từ khoá cho mỗi câu.
2. Nói to, bấm giờ: Trả lời mỗi câu trong khoảng 30–45 giây. Nếu bí ý, dùng khung: ý kiến → lý do → ví dụ → mặt còn lại.
3. Ghi âm và nghe lại: Nghe xem câu đầu đã trả lời thẳng chưa, có ví dụ cụ thể chưa, có lặp một từ quá nhiều không.

Bạn có thể dựa vào việc làm thêm, thực tập, công việc của người thân hoặc điều bạn quan sát được. Part 3 hỏi ý kiến, không yêu cầu bạn có kinh nghiệm làm việc.

Có nên nói về hệ thống giáo dục Việt Nam không?

Có. Ví dụ từ trường học ở Việt Nam là bằng chứng cụ thể và đáng tin. Chỉ cần nói rõ, công bằng, không cần chê hay khen quá mức.

Part 3 kéo dài bao lâu?

Khoảng 4–5 phút. Examiner thường hỏi 4–6 câu, có thể hỏi thêm “Why?” hoặc “Can you give an example?” để bạn phát triển ý.
